This series of watercolour paintings are from some of my favourite painting places: Newfoundland, northern Ontario and downtown Toronto. Many of them are inspired by the wildflowers I discovered in those locations. I love how beautifully exotic they seem in the landscape... almost too exotic and yet, they they are. The outdoor works create a connection in my imagination between now and later. In the middle of winter, when back inside, I think of these flowers and trees and these painting places where they grow.
