Images of the human brain were drawn from an assemblage of observed natural and man-made objects: tangled wires, discarded chain, seaweed, etc. I inserted those observations into a brain-shaped template and added individualized textures, shapes and colours.
I then further augmented each drawing with expressive marks that are suggestive of thought, and are the evidence of actual thoughts that sprang to mind while drawing these images.
The finished drawings convey an impression of conversation.
That conversation includes you, the viewer.
