Meeting of Minds presents images of the human brain and heart, drawn from an assemblage of natural and man-made objects. Starting with a traced outline of the brain, each brain expresses its individuality with textures, shapes and colours depicted from observed sources such as tangled wires, food items or seaweed. Once established, the brain character is then augmented with expressive marks, suggestive of thought. Those same marks are the evidence of my actual thoughts while drawing these images. Exhibiting the drawings together enhances the appearance of conversation; that conversation expands with the arrival of the viewer.
